Father's Day Celebration

"When I was a boy of 14, my father was so ignorant I could hardly stand to have the old man around. But when I got to be 21, I was astonished at how much the old man had learned in seven years."

~ Mark Twain

About Father's Day

The first Father's Day was observed on June 19, 1910 in Spokane, Washington influenced by Mrs. John B Dodd to honor her father, William Smart. The trend was followed by others when finally in 1966 President Lyndon Johnson proclaimed the third Sunday in June as officially Father's Day in the USA.

Father's Day is celebrated in most countries in the world on different dates through out the year. So anytime you feel the urge to honor the father in your life, Donovan's would love to share the experience with you.
