DONOVAN'S OF PHOENIX WINE CELLAR
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti
2002 Vintage
The
most prestigious of Burgundy, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti,
just may be the most revered wines in the world. This tiny 4.45
acre wine estate in the fabled village of Vosne-Romanée
only produces an annual average of 7,500 bottles with the world’s
demand far exceeding the tiny production. It’s a wine
of amazing purity and finesse and would be a crown jewel of
any wine cellar. Joan Dew of Adventures in Dining had this to
say in 1996…
“To wine-lovers
the world over, the name Domaine
de la Romanée-Conti is nothing less than magical.
Considering the fact that millions of acres of Mother
Earth are planted to vines, it is amazing to think only
this small parcel of Burgundy produces grapes that
make the most celebrated, expensive, revered red
wine in the world, as well as some of the most
prized white.”
Although generations of artful scientific knowledge goes into
its creation of remarkable wines, it is the underground beneath
Domaine de la Romanée-Conti that contains the secrets.
The uniquely particular nature of its subsoil is no doubt the
prime contributing factor to its rare quality.
The Romanée-Conti 2002 Vintage in Burgundy is regarded
as its best since 1996 and Donovan’s Phoenix was fortunate
to acquire several bottles of its amazing purity and finesse.
They join a diverse collection of some of the world’s
finest wines in the Donovan’s of Phoenix wine cellar.
The Romanée-Conti
2002 Vintage awaits to be summoned into service at Donovan’s
Steak and Chop House at 31st Street on the Camelback Corridor
in Phoenix.
